I became pregnant in the fall of 2012 and bore my first child in June of 2013. I was overdue, agreed to an induction at almost 42 weeks. My labor and birth was long and difficult - I felt as if my body and was working against me. The induction took its toll on my body, physically and emotionally. In the end I delivered a healthy baby boy - the birth resulted in an episiotomy and was vacuum assisted - the healing process was much longer than I anticipated. I fell pregnant once again the fall of 2014 and headed into this pregnancy more aware of my options, and hoping for a more natural labor. After a lot of research and recommendations I sought out a professional acupuncturist and voila - I was in the capable and comforting hands of Christa. Everything about her - her knowledge and comforting presence was just what a tired pregnant mother needed. We began the process of induction - knowing that my body wouldn't be forced into labor unnaturally, but that she would play an integral part of bringing my body and mind to where it needed to be for labor to be spontaneous and on its and babies terms!
My labor started past the 41 week mark naturally with my water breaking at home - I know the acupuncture allowed my body to be ready to undertake the process of birthing my child naturally. I was where I needed to be in body and mind. I credit my quick labor and even quicker recovery to the acupuncture treatments I received in the weeks leading up to my anticipated delivery date. I thank her dearly for the role she played in my pregnancy and birth and would not hesitate to recommend her to any pregnant mother.~M.S 2014

I came to Christa Angell for acupuncture due to an immunity issue that I have had over winter of 2018. I have had acupuncture with other medical professionals before so the practice of acupuncture is not new to me. Christa explained her background and took a thorough history. Christa is knowledgeable, professional, and what I liked about her is instantly I felt warmth and caring, which is rare attribute in the medical profession. My immunity and energy have improved, which has made a big difference to my every day life, in the short time I have been in her care. In my opinion, acupuncture is a great alternative to being on pills and the like and her practice has changed my health dramatically. The first appointment she really took the time to do an analysis of what the main issues were and we have gone from there. I have enjoyed going for my appointments, as she is very professional and always willing to help and answer any questions regarding acupuncture or even other holistic questions I have. She regularly gives advice on which types of vitamins or supplements might help with my recovery.
I see Christa for acupuncture and she is amazing. She has been able to successfully treat a multitude of my health needs. The clinic is super nice and offers a relaxing environment for treatment. I went to see Christa Angell in June of 2021 while I was in Calgary for my 3rd embryo transfer. My husband and I struggled with infertility for 4 years and at this point we had gone through two previous IVF cycles which had failed. I decided to include acupuncture this time around. I thought if anything, it would be a great way for me to relax. The only difference between all 3 of our cycles, was acupuncture so thank you to Christa for working her magic because we are now pregnant with our two miracle babies. Christa was very accommodating on such short notice. She even came into the clinic on a day that she was originally only scheduled to work offsite. She was easy to get in contact with and she created such a relaxing and comfortable environment. I have been treated by Dr. Christa Angell for nearly a decade now. She is the absolute best. Incredibly knowledgeable and gracious. She is very educated not only on a studious level but on a human level, she gets it. For fertility issues and treatment, everyone knows that she’s who you want. For me, personally I see her for my mental health. She has an ethereal way about her and instinctively knows exactly what you need, before even you do.
