Scholarship Award – Oncology Acupuncture
At Action Health / Aurea Medical, Dr. Christa Angell, D.Ac provides evidence-informed acupuncture care to support individuals living with and beyond cancer.
Acupuncture is used to help manage the symptoms and side effects associated with cancer and its treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. Treatment focuses on improving quality of life, reducing discomfort, and supporting overall function during and after care.
Symptoms commonly treated include:

Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (numbness, tingling, burning)

Dr. Angell has been awarded a scholarship to participate in the GLO-IMPACT (Global Implementation of Acupuncture for Cancer Therapy) program through the Society for Acupuncture Research, in association with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, USA).
As part of the inaugural international cohort, this training focuses on:
Evidence-based acupuncture protocols for cancer-related symptoms
Standardized treatment approaches used in integrative oncology settings
Real-world outcomes tracking and clinical research integration
Supporting safe, coordinated care alongside medical treatment
