About

Christa is a highly trained Acupuncturist with a special focus in Women's Health and Fertility. She completed her training with Eastern College/Grant McEwen College after studying Nursing at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2005. Christa has been practising since 2008, working alongside Naturopathic Doctors, Chiropractors, Medical Doctors, ect. using an integrative approach to health care.

Christa treats in a fully integrative capacity, blending Western, Chinese and Ayurvedic (Indian) medicine, always with the purpose to ensure that her patients will receive the right combination of investigative diagnosis and treatments to bring about the best outcomes for her patients.

Biography:

Christa graduated from TCM Acupuncture school in 2008, she began practising in Halifax, Nova Scotia before moving onward to Toronto, Ontario to continue her education in the field of Women's Health and Fertility. 

2008-2016: Christa has completed countless CEU's in the fields of Reproductive medicine with ASRM, Labour and Delivery with Claudia Citkovitz in NYC, Acupuncture for Fertility with Randine Lewis, Debra Betts and Jane Littleton. 

She has studied Nutrition, Biomedicine and Herbal Supplements. She is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and a Pre-natal Yoga teacher. She has affiliations with NL Fertility Services in St. John's, NL and gives annual presentations to both staff and patients.

Christa's passion for travel has taken her around the world educating herself in ancient modalities that can be integrated into her practise:

Kerala, India: She attended a 3 month Ayurvedic Practitioner Course at Amala Hospital and Research Centre.

She annually attends the Integrative Fertility Symposium in Vancouver, BC as well, as continuing education across North America in the field of TCM Acupuncture and Integrative Whole System Medicine.

Israel: She attended the  ICCM Symposium in Tel Aviv an annual conference for TCM Practitioners. She continued her studies with a fellowship at B'nai Zion Hospital in Haifi, closely following integrative medical practice using Acupuncture within hospitals Ie ) IVF, Urology, Stroke & rehabilitation etc..

Hong Kong: Rich history and immersion into TCM medical treatments.

Christa's travels sent her across to the Grand Cayman Islands, where she aided in a start-up multidisciplinary clinic, Align Wellness Studio as their Women's Health and Fertility specialist.

NEUROLOGICAL FELLOWSHIP: July 2019: NYU Langone Hospital Fellowship with  Dr.Claudia Citzkovich. Certified hospital-based Acupuncture training for Stroke & Rehabilitation.

Neuropuncture Fellowship: December 2022- Present.

Neuro acupuncture, also known as Nervous System Acupuncture, is a specialized technique of acupuncture that focuses on targeting specific nerve pathways and neurotransmitters to alleviate various neurological and musculoskeletal conditions

Christa belongs to multiple professional associations across Canada & Caribbean partaking in setting the highest standards for our profession. She is a member in good standing with The College of Acupuncture (CAAA), The American Society of Reproductive Medicine ( ASRM), The Society of Acupuncture Research (SAR),  Infertility Association of Canada ( Fertility Matters) & Health Authority Board Grand Cayman.
